Earlier this month, Chevrolet notoriously released another provocative advert to promote the Chevrolet Silverado. The new advert saw the Silverado being parked next to the Ford F-150 as both trucks undergo a ‘bed durability test’.
The video clip basically saw Chevrolet dropping tons of blocks onto the bed of both the F-150 and Silverado. Upon cleaning up the mess, it saw the Silverado’s steel bed suffering from light dents. As for the F-150, its aluminium bed suffered several punctures.
The clip turned into a controversy when Ford fans defended the F-150 by claiming that it was not equipped with a bed liner. Some Ford fans went as far as claiming that the steel bed on the Silverado will rust at a faster rate.
