There is much about America that makes the rest of the world shrug its shoulders and emit a confused grunt. Watery beer, weirdly high water levels in toilets, the Super Bowl and Donald Trump are all things that couldn't exist anywhere else.

Its trucks and big SUVs are getting smarter and far more high-tech. This was driven home to me personally on a trip to Jordan to drive the new Ford Edge and Ranger through the desert.
