Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles may have obtained great success in the pickup truck department but they are still far behind the pickup trucks from Ford. This cannot be helped as FCA’s RAM has got no answer for the award-winning Ford F-150 Raptor.

But then again, this will look to change soon as reports are emerging on a brand new RAM 1500 that will rely on the iconic 707hp V8 engine. The latter is a mill that is made famous by the Dodge Challenger and Charger Hellcat hence its application on the RAM 1500 makes it right to call the pickup truck as the RAM Hellcat.

RAM has already teased on this idea before through the Rebel TRX concept and insiders are claiming that the project has been approved for production. If the reports are right, then we can be seeing some serious competition taking place in the pickup truck scene as the RAM Hellcat can really threaten the Ford F-150 Raptor.
